The history of SEAGuild :
SEAGuild’s humble beginnings started out with the launch of MapleSEA. Kikapu, founder of the guild, wanted to set up a place for archers to congregate. That was the time when the game consisted only of Victoria Island and archers were scant. It was hard to train an archer compared to other classes and those who attempted were but a few. Kikapu had a vision to unite all these archers under one name. Hence, the first yarn of wool was knitted under Sleepywood.net’s ghetto. A handful of archers turned up. It was nice meeting other players of the same class and exchange knowledge. Kikapu’s goal was to build a guild, where members could contribute and gain knowledge about the archer class. The guild grew steadily. From its shaky start, a proper guild began to take shape. Much thanks have to be given to the early committee members, who were the pillars of the guild. Soon, there was a forum which was a little wonky, but it was a start. A more efficient forum came up soon after and members began pouring in. The guild began to expand. Many archers have found a place to give and share lots of useful insights on being an archer. But more than that, friendships were forged. The bare hierarchy structure made it feel like a family; and that has been and always will be the strength of the guild. It’s pretty amazing how such strong bonds can be built through an online forum. This sense of family has been so strong that it even attracted players of different classes. Today, the guild continues to run under the leadership of HanWooRae. No matter what happens in the future, SEAGuild will always be a warm and welcoming place.
